Obituary of Susan Caldwell Stokes Bostelman

Susan Stokes Bostelman , Susan passed away on Thursday April 13^, 2023 with her daughter, son in-law and care giver by her side. Born in Humbolt TN August 1, 1943 to the late Thomas Ladd and Carlene Stokes and was raised in Fulton, KY. Susan was married to her husband of 57 years Ernest Bostelman, Jr. on August 6, 1966. Graduated from Florida Southern College with a degree in music education and English. During her working career she was music director at the First United Methodist Church, served as president of United Methodist Women and other offices and taught at Auburndale Sr. High school where she retired after 25 years. Susan was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Ladd Stokes, Carlene Stokes Jolley, Frederick "Fred" Newton Jolley; brother Thomas Ladd Stokes, Jr., Thomas Ladd Stokes III, grandparents Mr. & Mrs. B.C.Stokes, Mr. & Mrs. Clarence B. Caldwell (Eva), J.B. Stokes (Josephine), Mr. William Jolley (Martha Frank). Susan is survived by both of her children Laurie L Ullom (Michael) & Frederick E Bostelman (Cheryl)  and grandson Frederick Ford Bostelman. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the music fund at the First United Methodist Church of Auburndale in Susan’s name. The service will be held on Saturday April 29^th at 10:30am at the First United Methodist Church in Auburndale.
