Obituary of Debra Kay Hester

Mrs. Debra Kay Hester, 65 of Bartow, Florida passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 at Winter Haven Hospital surrounded by family. Mrs. Hester was born June 7, 1957 in Arcadia, Florida to Billy Franklin and Tyra (Sweeney) Walker. She was a Polk County, Florida resident since 1987 coming from Texas. Debra retired after 17 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant helping deliver babies and also retired after 16 years as a Typesetter in the Printing Industry. Debra and her husband traveled to 39 states in 9 years before becoming parents. She enjoyed yard sales, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents. Debra is survived by her husband of 47 years – Marty Hester of Bartow, Florida; son – Andrew Hester of Winter Haven, Florida; daughter – Jessica Huntley of Auburndale, Florida; 3 sisters – Patty (Butch) of Lucedale, Mississippi, Susan (Daniel) Crawford of Auburndale, Florida and Amy (Richard) Rowe of Searcy, Arkansas; 3 grandchildren – Keeli, Brynlee & Braydon. A graveside service will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, February 21^st at Auburndale Memorial Park.
