Christopher Whitecotton

Obituary of Christopher Whitecotton

Christopher Whitecotton, age 42, came into this world on August 9, 1979.  His heroic battle with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma was lost on October 26, 2021. Chris (CJ) is the son of Kathy & Ken Squires, a “brother” to Shea, Mikey, David, Amber, Jessie, Alex, Tom, Nurse “Jo”, and Rob. CJ was the nephew to Kelly, Paul, & Dave and of course a very loyal and true friend to many.

CJ was like a gypsy, moving from place to place, so being an over-the-road truck driver suited him well. Working for Indian River Transport and Heyl Truck Lines stood out the most during the past two decades. He had a true passion for music, creating and building all things technical, collecting and reading books, and of course cooking.  If you knew CJ, you know he had one of the most generous and BIGGEST hearts ever.  He never wanted anyone to do without as long as he was around.  Always there for everyone for anything at any time!  Though CJ knew his time was short, he continued to be optimistic and make sure everyone else was “alright”.   It was just like CJ to never to put himself first even when he was struggling.  For us, no one will ever be able to fill those large shoes of his.  We sincerely appreciate all our family and friends for their love, and for supporting CJ during his time of need. Per Chris’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will take place at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, donations to your local food bank or panty would make CJ happy.
