Obituary of Alice Jane Rodriguez

Mrs. Alice Jane Rodriguez, age 82 a resident of Auburndale passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Good Shepherd Hospice House surrounded by family. Mrs. Rodriguez was born March 26, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York to Sylvester Joseph and Florence Rose (Blood) Rutherford. She was an Auburndale resident since 1974 coming from New York and a retired Clerical Person for the Trucking Industry. Alice was of the Catholic faith and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed computer games and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband – Earnest Rodriguez, Jr. Alice is survived by her loving family, 4 sons – Joseph (Betty) Rodriguez of Auburndale, John Rodriguez of Auburndale, James (Creda) Rodriguez of Jacksonville and Jerry Rodriguez of Lakeland; brother – Gerard (Lucille) Rutherford Bartlesville, OK; 1 granddaughter – Ashley (Neo) Penaloza of Auburndale; 3 great granddaughters who were the Apples of Her Eye, Isabella, Amelia and Liliana. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
