Obituary of Bonnie May Hale
Mrs. Bonnie May Hale, age 77 a resident of Auburndale passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Hale was born January 26, 1944 in Pemiscot County, Missouri to Luther Roosevelt and Ossie Thomas (Austin) Middleton. She has been a Polk County resident since 1967 coming from Missouri. Bonnie was a past member of Central Assembly of God Church in Auburndale and a current member of Gospel Tabernacle Church in Auburndale. She was a retired Box Department Supervisor for Haines City Citrus Growers for 22+ years, worked as a sectionizer for Adams Packing, was an Avon salesperson and a cleaned tails for Bagley Baits in Winter Haven. She enjoyed going to JoAnn fabrics, crocheting, crafts, fishing, dancing the Charleston & Dirty Boogie but most of all loved to spend time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers – Basil “Faye” Middleton & Joneal Middleton; 2 sisters – Lucille Grissom & Nina Sue Middleton; sister in law – Mary Middleton and nephew – Joel Grissom. Bonnie is survived by her loving family, husband of 60 years – Edward Franklin Hale; 2 sons – Edward Doyle (Amy) Hale and Donnie Ray (Sherry) Hale; daughter – Darla Renee (George) Brayton; brother – Luther G. Middleton; 16 grandchildren – Zackary, Jordan, Jessica (Todd), Jacob, Jenna, Jade, Jacey, T.J. (Danielle), Randy, David, John (Brittney), Jeremy, Haley, Katlynn, Jessica & Matthew and 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 6 until 8 pm at Kersey Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10 am Wednesday, September 22nd at the funeral home with interment to follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
