Obituary of Craig Kenneth Johnston
Mr. Craig Kenneth Johnston, age 74 a resident of Riverview, Florida formally of Polk County, Florida passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Auburndale. Mr. Johnston was born December 7, 1944 in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania to George Kenneth and Kathleen Theresa (McGettigan) Johnston. He was a resident of Riverview since 2009 and Polk County since 1985 coming from New Jersey. Craig was a United States Navy Veteran serving during Vietnam. He was a retired Rural Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Auburndale, Florida after 20 years of service and a retired (1968-1975) Police Officer & Sheriff’s Deputy for Collier County, Florida & New Jersey. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter – April Lynn Stanley and son – Anthony Warren Johnston. Craig is survived by; 2 Sons: Colin Johnston and his wife Sherrie of Auburndale, Florida. Alan Johnston of Lakeland, Florida. Daughter: Jayne Johnston of Ft. Myers, Florida. Son-in-Law: Bob Stanley of Riverview, Florida. 5 Grandchildren. Graveside service will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, April 3rd at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
